Checking in

Got two things done today: dick and all. And I'm not sorry! Mom came into town yesterday afternoon with the intent of spending time. She put up with me shouting, "Holy Shit!" and "OhMiGAWD!" during Lost and Alias last night. I made dinner (Chicken Marsala, baked potatoes and steamed broccoli) and she cleaned up. w00t! Today was spent running all day: first we tried to find a spa that could do walk-in massages (denied! boo!), then hit The Original Pancake House for breakfast (lingonberries = teh g00d), World Market, Z Gallerie, Pottery Barn, Bath & Bodyworks, Barnes & Noble, Target (2 new pairs of cute PJs!) then to Studio Movie Grill to see Spanglish. Well acted and lots of laughs if a tad overblown on the wrenching of the heart.

Damn, no wonder I'm pooped.

Tomorrow? Take 2 for massage, lunch with kymberlynn, derby errands, computer repair with meatpie and perhaps I'll catch up on my filing... or reading (which will undoubtedly turn into napping with a book on my face).

In other news, got a call from the office today. HeadHoncho was apparently on a tear about deadlines. I nearly blew a cog (though fortunately Sunshine knew I was pissed at the situation and not her). Fortunately, with a little info from me, BossLadyDeb was able to present our status and everyone was happy. In fact, I came home to a message telling me so. She also told me in no uncertain terms that I was not to call in again or to worry about anything until Monday. LOL

And now the lovesong of my matress grows more insistent. It misses me. But before I toddle off to beddie-bye, some silliness via the My Childhood Home Meme:
