sandmansisterI never learn. Tomorrow I'm having the kickoff meeting/party for the Dallas Derby Devils, the newly forming Dallas league for which I am skating (and coordinating media). Yep, it's at my house.
Sparkle Plenty and White Lightnin' from the Austin-based Texas Rollergirls are coming too. I'm seeing shades of BirthdayPalooza all over again (only prolly without the massive make-out session in the pool 'cuz the high temp tomorrow is only gonna be in the 50s).

meatpie will be there around noon to help me drunk-proof the house. My folks will set me on fire and dance around the funeral pyre if anything happens to the new carpet in the family room!
I'm thinking I should just get blotto enough to not care. And for the record, we will be turning the music down at 10pm so the cops don't get called (she said hopefully as she knocked on wood).
Let's just hope the folks don't decide to swing by Sunday on their way home from South Padre... I did tell them I was having some derby girls over... this does NOT need to be the "hilarity ensues" portion of the program! Yeah, I know, I am 35 years old... but my dad is intimidating!
