Bring on the Starlight

Not much new to report on the health front (yay!). October will be 6 months since surgery, so I go in for a semi-annual squishing. Skin is all healed. Still a little more tan on one boob, but it's not noticeable unless I'm nekkid. Started tamoxifen (hormone therapy) this week. We'll see what wackiness (if any) ensues.

Overall, it feels good to have my vitality back. I occasionally look forward to dressing up, and generally feel more like myself than I have in some time. I slipped away from myself so gradually that I didn't even notice... until something in me went, "I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaack!"

In that celebratory spirit, I share these pics:

	FD Support The Dallas FD hosted the annual chief's convention. This show of support was one of the exhibits. My friend Shannon is a fire marshal and worked the event.

Apparently, a glass of wine a day helps cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy. Dangit! Why didn't I see this 6 weeks ago?!?!?

Last week, "So You Think You Can Dance" featured a piece choreographed by Tyce Diorio about a woman with breast cancer. If you don't watch the show—and if you don't, what is wrong with you?—here's the dance:

And here's the judges' commentary... it brought them all to tears (even the stoic Brit):

What a beautiful release for things I didn't even know I was storing up... good thing it wasn't Kate Bush's version of this song or I would be a puddle...

Of course, they have plenty of items for sale as well (and yes, I am beginning to make a grudging peace with a small smattering of pink ), but that's double-plus bonus.
